The Coaching Impact Study

Coaching is not only talent development. It's a catalyst for creating a true performance and results culture.

From 2004 to 2009, Cambria ran the first multi-year, multi-company study of the impact of executive coaching in Fortune 500 companies. Participating organizations included Assurant, Booz Allen Hamilton, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Deloitte, UBS, and Wachovia. Our first findings were presented in 2005 at the annual conference of the Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology, and were updated annually.

A review of our methodology and major findings to-date was published in the International Journal of Coaching in Organizations (download a free copy of the article) and a full description of the study and our lessons-learned appears in the book Advancing Executive Coaching by Gina Hernez-Broome and Lisa Boyce (eds.) as a case study in successful coaching evaluation.
